Founders Day
First Board of Directors 1919
Every year the Order of the Knights of St Columba has a Founders Day. It is held to commemorate those brave Brothers who founded the Order of the Knights of St Columba on 5th October 1919 in Glasgow Scotland. Above is a picture of those great gentlemen.
On the day the Order holds a Mass in Glasgow Cathedral and it is attended by Brothers, Wives, Widows, family from all over Great Britain.
Prior to the Mass the Board of Directors, led by the Supreme Knight and the Supreme Director for Spirituality and Welfare lay a wreath at the graveside of the incorporating Supreme Knight Brother P.J. O’Callaghan.
